Hi, ladies and gents!
My name is Rose — as you may already know, HI MOST SUPPORTIVE FRIENDS <3 — and today, I am SO excited to announce that I’m launching something that I’ve thought about doing for a surprisingly long time:
A royal style blog!
As a style, beauty, and pop culture reporter, I have spent years — the better part of a decade, in fact — covering all things red carpet and fashionable. And the subjects I love writing about most? The gorgeous gals of the royal family: the OG of the new guard, my girl Kate Middleton, a.k.a. HRH Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and now her sister-in-law, my fellow American lady, Meghan Markle, i.e. HRH Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
While both ladies have very different personal styles, I truly love them both, and always love seeing what they choose to wear, well, literally anywhere, from a local event in London to a royal tour abroad. Not only because they both boast incredible style (#inspo), but also because they put so much thought into their clothing. (As my queen Elizabeth Holmes can attest!)
Just check out Kate’s latest look (above). This tonal teal masterpiece is a nod to the bottle-green hue of the Pakistani flag, the perfect pre-game to her royal tour of Pakistan in just a few weeks. It’s fashion, but it’s also diplomacy. Even her gorgeous rhinestone statement earrings are by a Pakistani designer. (And only $8. I mean!)
And honestly? It’s also just pretty. Which is nice when you’re looking for inspiration for timeless style in your day to day life, am I right, ladies?
Just one of the many reasons I’m so excited to launch Royal Caffeine, your daily shot of royal style (and not just of Kate and Megs, but of Beatrice, Eugenie, and some of the international royal ladies when exciting, too!) — and then some. RepliKate picks? Dupes of B’s engagement ring? The best royal YA novels on the market? YOU’RE GETTING IT.
And with that, I welcome you to this little tiara-topped corner of the internet. I hope you’ll have fun here, and I also hope you’ll tell ME what YOU would like to see, too! Because I want this to be much more than an endless look book. I want this to be a conversation!
Because, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, the royals are something I LOVE to talk about.
Cheers, duchesses!
Rose
